Matheus França foi chamado novamente pelo técnico da Seleção Brasileira sub-17, Paulo Victor Gomes, para um período de treinamentos na Granja Comary entre os dias 25 de novembro e 4 de dezembro. A convocação faz parte de uma segunda etapa preparatória do Brasil visando o Torneio Sul-Americano Conmebol de 2021 que será disputado entre os dias 31 de março e 25 de abril, no Equador. Esta foi a décima convocação do meia-atacante do Flamengo para a Seleção Brasileira, incluindo a convocações do sub-15.

Dessa vez, ele vai reviver a parceria na Seleção, com o também colega de Flamengo, Matheus Lima, seu parceiro no título Sul-americano Sub-15 do ano passado, na vitória nos pênaltis por 5 a 3 ( 1 a 1 – tempo normal), sobre a Argentina, no Paraguai.

The Lilywhites and their North London rivals Arsenal are the only two teams to remain unbeaten in the division, so they will be full of confidence that they are able to achieve big things this season, but that doesn’t mean that the hierarchy won’t be looking at new players who they believe could improve their squad.

Sporting CP’s right-winger Geny Catamo has been brought onto the radar in the capital having worked his way up through his club’s various academy ranks to get promoted to their first-team, where he’s been unable to nail down a regular place, making just 14 senior appearances to date (Transfermarkt – Catamo statistics).

Since permanently arriving at the Jose Alvalade Stadium, Mozambique’s international has been sent out on two development loans to Vitoria Guimaraes SC and Maritimo in order to increase his game time and experience, but there’s a chance that the 22-year-old could find a new permanent home in the top-flight in England.

Spurs interested in Geny Catamo

According to Football Transfers, Tottenham have set their sights on Catamo, but they are far from alone in their pursuit, with Arsenal and Aston Villa also keen to strike a deal at the start of next year if possible.

“Arsenal are closely watching Mozambique international Geny Catamo of Sporting CP, FootballTransfers has been told. We understand that the 22-year-old is being monitored by a number of clubs ahead of 2024, including the Gunners, Tottenham, and Aston Villa.

"Our sources have informed us that the player could leave the Portuguese club as soon as the January transfer window, with a number of Premier League clubs watching the youngster in the Primeira Liga.”

Spurs will know that Catamo hasn’t yet got much senior experience under his belt, but having clocked up nine involvements (six assists and three goals) in 36 outings since the start of his career, he could be a fantastic recruit for the long-term future of the club.

Ruben Amorim’s left-footed ace also currently ranks in the 99th percentile for both successful take-ons and shots, showing that he loves to use his pace, dribble past his marker and take aim at the opposition’s goalkeeper (FBRef – Catamo statistics).

Additionally, Catamo only pockets £4k-per-week (Sporting CP salaries), so he would be a more than affordable option for chiefs to recruit because that would make him the lowest-earner on their books (Tottenham salaries), making this a deal definitely worth pursuing should the opportunity present itself.

Toda essa expectativa e demora no anúncio dos resultados ocasionou em uma conversa entre Duílio, Augusto e Gobbi, que entraram em consenso para agilizar o processo. Também houve a presença de organizadas como Gaviões da Fiel, Camisa 12, entre outras. Vale ressaltar que nenhuma confusão foi registrada. Quase no fim da apuração, foi possível escutar fogos em comemoração da vitória de Duílio.

Ele foi eleito com 1081 votos, derrotando Augusto Melo, que teve 939 votos e Mário Gobbi, que fechou a votação com 783. Ao todo, a eleição contou com 17 urnas apuradas e 2.837 eleitores.

Duílio terá como vice-presidentes Elie Werdo e Luiz Wagner Alcântara, o Wagnão. According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool are interested in signing Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries, with the report claiming that the Serie A side would demand a fee of €40m (£35m) to grant his departure.

The piece does highlight the fact that Trent Alexander-Arnold has yet to sign a new deal on Merseyside, currently contracted until 2025, though an agreement will surely be met over the coming year.

The 27-year-old Dumfries is also on Chelsea and Manchester United's radar, and while Liverpool might not be prioritising the right-back position, it is lacking in depth and the Inter player would be a tremendous addition.

Denzel Dumfries' style of play

The £54k-per-week star has been a threatening presence for Inter over the past several years, scoring nine goals and supplying 18 assists from 108 appearances across all competitions, winning two Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana apiece.

He has earned acclaim for his international escapades with the Netherlands, plundering two goals and an assist at the last edition of the European Championship before a destructive display against USA at the 2022 World Cup, posting a goal and two assists to take his nation through to the quarter-finals.

Football Transfers list Dumfries as a similar player to Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies, and this is certainly the kind of player that Klopp could make good use of in Liverpool's team.

As per FBref, the Dutchman ranks among the top 14% of full-backs across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for assists and the top 1% for touches in the attacking penalty area per 90, which certainly highlights the role that he could play under Klopp's wing.

Davies, in comparison, ranks among the top 5% of positional peers for assists, the top 3% for shot-creating actions and the top 1% for progressive carries, successful take-ons and touches in the attacking box per 90, with such metrics corroborating past claims from Rio Ferdinand that "he is best attacking full-back on the planet".

Whether the Canadian is the cream of the crop is disputable, but he's definitely up there, and his qualities would be a welcome addition to Anfield in the form of Dumfries' who can inflict similarly devastating damage.

Hailed as a “monster” by journalist Alan Rzepa, Dumfries would be the perfect alternative to Alexander-Arnold on the Anfield flank, offering a different, more direct attacking ability which could be used either in rotation or in instances when the England international finds a home in the centre of the park.

The confluence of styles would be a thing to behold, and given the Inter man's electricity in his craft, Klopp must seriously consider the benefits of sealing his signature, and make his move.

Among those were several members of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup winning squad, including Wasim Akram, Mushtaq Ahmed and Inzamam-ul-Haq – now chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team. But following the success of his party – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (Movement for Justice) – in elections across the country last month, his rise to the top political job had been a foregone conclusion for a few weeks. Abel Ferreira fez um treino tático, onde posicionou titulares e reservas para jogadas ensaiadas e movimentos coordenados visando uma evolução maior ainda do time em campo.

Os únicos desfalques da atividade entre os atletas do elenco profissional alviverde foram Luiz Adriano, que se recupera de uma lesão muscular, Renan e Marcos Rocha, que foram diagnosticados com a Covid-19 no sábado e só devem voltar ao clube na próxima semana.
