Tottenham have been dealt a reported transfer blow as it emerged that they may be beaten to a signing by another of Europe's elite this summer, with the player ready to turn down Spurs in order to make the move happen.

Juventus move ahead of Tottenham for target
Just last week, it was believed that Tottenham were leading the race to sign Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori, who has been impressing for Thiago Motta's Bologna side this season.
The defender has been a regular feature under Motta and it has been reported by Italian outlet Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) that Spurs' scouts had "promoted him with flying colours" as a potential summer signing, with the increasingly familiar Serie A to north London route once again set to be trodden.
However, that no longer seems to be the case, in a blow to their transfer plans.
That comes as Serie A giants Juventus are "ready to take pole position" in the race for his signature, according to the latest reports.
Calafiori is reportedly valued at around €25m (£21.4m), but as per usual, Juventus have a way around paying the full fee.

Bologna are "open" to a player-plus-cash deal for the impressive youngster, it is claimed, in news that has only boosted the hopes of the Turin side of landing their man this summer.
Better yet from their standpoint, Calafiori himself is said to prefer the prospect of staying in Serie A, which could yet play further into their hands.
Such news comes as a blow to Tottenham, who themselves were keen to land the defender. However, they may be forced to look elsewhere now.

Maintenance of the ball has become one of the key topics as the sport tries to map a way back from its pandemic shutdown given shining has traditionally involved saliva which is deemed a significant risk of transmitting the virus.Earlier this week the ICC cricket committee recommended a ban on using saliva at international level but said that sweat would be permitted as it was deemed lower risk.Guidelines issued by the Australian government on a return for sport from community to elite level banned the use of saliva and sweat at training. Cricket Australia’s head of science and medicine Alex Kountouris said that it was a constantly evolving picture as more was learned about the virus, but the option of using disinfectant – which was done in Australian rugby league before the shutdown and will be considered in other football codes – is likely to be discussed.”Disinfecting the ball is a consideration. [We] don’t know the impact on the ball as we haven’t tested it yet,” Kountouris said. “The ball being leather it’s harder to disinfect because it’s got little nooks and crevices so we don’t know how effective it’s going to be, we don’t know how infected the ball is going to get and we don’t know if it’s going to be allowed. It is an absolute consideration. However, there is increasing confidence that if the current progress is continued then the season will be able to start as scheduled in September.”We’re at the moment really happy with the fact that we can get back to training. So, a month or so ago, things looked bleak. The country has done really well,” Kountouris said. “From a sport perspective, there’s obviously a long way to go. If things don’t go wrong here, of course we are on track to gradually move through each of the different stages.”It’s dependent on whether we are allowed to travel, domestically, and whether borders are open between countries and we don’t have an outbreak and a cluster. There’s a whole bunch of factors but certainly if everything goes well, we are on track and we’re quietly confident that things will go to plan and we’ll be ready at the start of the season.”

وفي المؤتمر الصحفي قبل المباراة قال جود بيلينجهام: “لقد احتل ليفربول المركز الأول في الدوري الإنجليزي وفي دوري أبطال أوروبا، إنهم فريق جيد، لقد وصلوا إلى مستوى متقدم. سيكون الغد اختبارًا جيدًا للغاية”.
وأضاف: “هناك ثقة كبيرة في غرفة تبديل الملابس، لدي ثقة في المجموعة ويمكن لجميع اللاعبين التأثير على المباراة، ليس لدي أي شك”.

وعن مبابي، قال: “كيليان يقدم أداءً جيداً للغاية وما قدمه حتى الآن كان إيجابيًا، أنا مقتنع بأنه سيلعب بشكل أفضل”.

However, after United’s 4-0 hammering by Crystal Palace and a 1-0 defeat on Sunday against Arsenal, there’s the possibility that Europe isn’t achieved at all this campaign.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at who could come into the lineup to solidify the backline and finally replace Casemiro.
Why Casemiro must not start at centre-back
Due to the injury crisis that has plagued the Man United backline, Ten Hag has been forced into the experimental decision of playing Casemiro at centre-back.
The Brazilian’s first outing in this role was the 3-3 draw versus Coventry City in the FA Cup, and since then, he’s played every game in defence.

However, the defensive midfielder by trade has received plenty of criticism for his performances against Palace and Arsenal, with creator Liam Canning labelling Casemiro as “beyond embarrassing” after the game at Selhurst Park.
During that defeat, the 32-year-old played a role in three of the Eagles’ goals and was dribbled past seven times. On top of that, he was at fault for the Gunners’ goal at the weekend, playing Kai Havertz miles onside, which highlights his lack of understanding of the role.
It’s quite clear that Ten Hag must deploy a true centre half against the Magpies, and luckily, there’s one waiting for a shot to shine.
The player to replace Casemiro
Willy Kambwala has already had his fair share of first-team football this season, much more than he’d have anticipated at the start of the campaign.
The 19-year-old defender has featured eight times in the Premier League for the Red Devils, including three starts, with the latest of those being the 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
At the weekend, Kambwala returned to the pitch after a short spell on the sidelines, coming on as a 75th-minute substitute for Jonny Evans, where he made one tackle and won all of his duels.
However, there were cries for the French ace to start ahead of Casemiro prior to the game, with even United legend Peter Schmeichel saying:
“Casemiro can't play centre-back, he was exposed on Monday night so why don't you put a proper centre-half like Willy Kambwala in there rather than on the bench?”

Although it is simply a matter of fielding one of the only available centre-backs at the moment, Kambwala has certainly proved that he can hold his own when called upon.
His performance against Liverpool highlights that, as he also displayed that he has a vast skillset, including technical ability and confidence, as shown by his touches, pass accuracy, and possession lost.
The 6 foot 3 defender is also extremely physical, and he’s not afraid to get tight to the opposition striker, which increases the overall intensity of Ten Hag’s side.
However, what may prove vital against Newcastle and Alexander Isak in particular is Kambwala’s excellent athleticism and turn of pace, which were on display in a race against Darwin Nunez during the 2-2 draw.
Overall, there’s no benefit to fielding Casemiro in the team over Kambwala, and given that he’s always impressed when playing, the youngster simply has to start today.

No entanto, com o acordo feito entre as partes, a quantia total que o clube arcará será de R$ 800 mil, dos quaisR$ 536 mil serão divididos em 20 parcelas, que começam a ser quitadas em agosto deste ano e estão previstas para terminar em março de 2023.
O restante do valor, ou seja, R$ 264 mil, está relacionado ao Fundo de Garantia, e precisa ser quitado até dezembro deste ano. A primeira parte citada acima diz respeito a férias, valores proporcionais de 13º salario e honorários.

Sidcley teve duas passagens pelo Corinthians: a primeira em 2018, quando fez 29 jogos e marcou três gols, conquistando o título paulista, e em 2020, quando fez apenas 19 jogos e não marcou gols, com uma passagem bem discreta. Em ambos os momentos ele chegou emprestado no Parque São Jorge.
