According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are readying an offer for Gray, but there are also two other clubs plotting a swoop in January.

Furthermore, Gray is a versatile operator having been deployed in six various positions over the grass since bursting onto the professional scene, including one in defence, two in the frontline and three in the centre of the park, so it’s important that chiefs do everything they can to retain the services of their academy graduate beyond January.

كان ساوثجيت قد أعلن، أمس الثلاثاء، استقالته من منصبه كمدرب للمنتخب الإنجليزي، رغم أن عقده كان مستمرًا حتى ديسمبر المقبل.
جاء رحيل ساوثجيت بعد الفشل في التتويج ببطولة كأس أمم أوروبا، حيث خسرت إنجلترا أمام إسبانيا في المباراة النهائية مساء الأحد المقبل بهدفين لهدف.

ولكن صحيفة “تليجراف” الإنجليزية ذكرت أن كلوب لن يكون متاحًا لخلافة ساوثجيت في تدريب منتخب إنجلترا.
وأوضحت أن كلوب لا ينوي العودة إلى أي منصب تدريبي لمدة 12 شهرًا أخرى، مما يعني عدم إتاحته لتدريب إنجلترا في الوقت المناسب قبل تصفيات كأس العالم 2026.
وأشارت إلى أن كلوب سبق وأن اتخذ قراره بأنه سيحصل على إجازة لمدة عام، على الأقل، ولن ينضم إلى أي نادِ أو منتخب خلال تلك الفترة.
وأفادت أنه على الرغم من رحيل ساوثجيت ورغبة منتخب إنجلترا في توليه مسؤولية تدريب المنتخب الوطني، إلا أن موقف كلوب لم يتغير، وليس هناك احتمال لحدوث ذلك.
ووفقًا لقرار كلوب، فإنه سيكون جاهزًا للعودة إلى العمل بحلول يوليو 2025، مما يعني أن الاتحاد الإنجليزي سيتعين عليه خوض تصفيات مونديال 2026 بمدرب مؤقت، إذا رغب في تعيين الألماني بعد ذلك.

Even though Arsenal are blessed with an abundance of talented players, it’s not hard to pinpoint their most important: Bukayo Saka.
The Hale End icon has become a talisman for the club and a constant source of goals and assists from the right-hand side, racking up a sensational haul of 26 goal involvements in 37 games this season.
Yet, as unbelievably talented as the Englishman is, he cannot drag the Gunners to glory on his own, as even Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has an incredible supporting cast, including the likes of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and most crucially, this season, Cody Gakpo.
So, fans should be excited about recent reports linking Arsenal to an attacker who’s been compared to Saka and the Flying Dutchman.

With their attack letting them down on several occasions this season, it’s not been a surprise to see Arsenal linked with a host of talented wingers this summer, such as Karou Mitoma and Rodrygo.

Yet, there is another name that has entered the frame, a player who has Premier League experience and has been compared to Saka and Gakpo: Noni Madueke.
According to a recent report from the Telegraph, Arsenal are now one of several teams in the picture to sign the former Spurs academy star and Chelsea forward this summer.
The report claims that while the Blues do not want to sell the Englishman, there is a distinct possibility that he would be let go for the right price.
While that price is not mentioned in the story, reports from earlier this month claimed that a fee in the region of €60m, which is about £51m, could do the trick.
It might not be a transfer that is immediately popular with Arsenal fans, but Madueke has shown glimpses of quality in the Premier League, and the fact he’s been compared to Saka and Gakpo is undoubtedly intriguing.
How Madueke compares to Saka & Gakpo
So then, before going over some of the other reasons why Arsenal might want to sign Madueke this summer, it’s important to examine these comparisons and where they stem from.
Well, they both stem from FBref, which looks at players in similar positions in the Premier League this season before making a list of the ten most comparable for each.
According to this list, Gakpo was the seventh most similar attacking midfielder or winger to Chelsea this season, while Saka was the tenth most similar.

Now, the best way to understand how these conclusions were reached is by looking at some of the underlying numbers in which the players rank closely, and in the case of the Gunners’ talisman, that includes things like non-penalty expected goals plus assist, passing accuracy, passes into the final third, clearances, tackles won and more, all per 90.

However, it’s not just the comparisons to two of the best wingers in the league that should excite fans, as the “unbelievable” dynamo, as dubbed by former manager Mauricio Pochettino, has also been a relatively reliable source of goals and assists for the West Londoners.
For example, in 42 appearances this season, totalling 2513 minutes, the 23-year-old “mentality monster,” as dubbed by personal coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst, scored 11 goals and provided five assists, which comes out to a goal involvement on average every 2.62 games, or every 157.06 minutes.
In comparison, Gabriel Martinelli racked up as many goal involvements in 51 appearances, totalling 3564 minutes, which comes out to a significantly worse average of a goal involvement every 3.18 games, or every 222.75 minutes.
Ultimately, while the price might be a little high, Madueke has the raw ability to make a difference for Arsenal, and the fact he’s been compared to players like Saka and Gakpo this season suggests as much.
Therefore, if the fee can be reduced somewhat, then this looks like a transfer worth chasing.

وكانت أزمة قد اندلعت بين لاعب الأهلي حسين الشحات ومحمد الشيبي بعد مباراة الأهلي وبيراميدز بالدوري في الموسم الماضي، بسبب اشتباكهما لفظيًا وصفع الشحات للشيبي.
وقال إيهاب الكومي في تصريحات عبر قناة “صدى البلد”: “البعض يتساءل لماذا لا يوجد توقيع حي لوليد العطار على خطاب إيقاف محمد الشيبي، والسبب لأنه لم يكن متواجدًا وكان في مهمة خارج اتحاد الكرة، لكنه معنا لحظة بلحظة على الجروب الخاص بالاتحاد”.

Leeds United could be set to make a late move in this summer's transfer window for an attacking reinforcement in the form of Brandon Thomas-Asante.
Is Thomas-Asante replacing Sinisterra?
It has been a turbulent summer for the Whites following their disappointing 2022/23 campaign which saw them slip out of the Premier League.
Following Daniel Farke's arrival, the Yorkshire side have seen a number of players head for the exit doors at Elland Road. Some of these exits have consisted of players who featured heavily in last season's campaign in the top flight.
However, there has not been a huge influx of money from those exits with only Tyler Adams' £25m move to Bournemouth generating any significant funds, and they now look set to lose Luis Sinisterra to the Cherries as well on an initial loan deal.
And even with hours remaining in the window, there remain questions marks as to whether another exciting winger, Wilfried Gnonto, could still leave the club. He has been heavily linked with a potential return to the Premier League with Everton believed to be a club seriously interested in the Italian youngster.
Perhaps as a result of the possible exits of both Sinisterra and Gnonto, there have been some suggestions that Leeds could make a move for West Bromwich Albion's Thomas-Asante.
Indeed, according to the Daily Mail, the Whites have enquired about the possibility of signing the 24-year-old, who has also received interest from Stoke City. It is believed the Albion have already rejected a £2m approach from the Potters.
How good is Brandon Thomas-Asante?
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years which has seen him move from Ebbsfleet, to Salford and then to the Baggies.
Having made 33 appearances for the Albion in the Championship last season – 20 of those coming in the starting XI – the £20k-per-week Englishman was able to provide a return of seven league goals (via Transfermarkt).
The Whites have already lost last season's top scorer in Rodrigo after he left for Qatar earlier in the summer, but have provided Farke with some reinforcement with the arrival of Joel Piroe in recent weeks.
However, their start to life back in the Championship has certainly not been a straightforward one with just five points on the board from their opening four games. And even in their only win of the campaign, it did not come without some serious threat from the opposition after narrowly taking the points in a 4-3 win over Ipswich Town.
But in Thomas-Asante, the Yorkshire side could be bringing in a player who has been hailed as a "poacher" in front of goal by journalist Lewis Cox and is capable of playing right across the front three, so could slot in perfectly alongside Piroe instead of Sinisterra.
And the same journalist has heavily praised the Englishman's journey to the Championship after he scored a winning goal in the early stages of last season:
